Question:

What do you call the metal work where you put texture in metal?

Do you just call it metal texturing or something else?

Answer:

Most of the texture I add is with a hammer which is effectively called hammer texture. There are several types of hammers to use, such as brass, raw hide, round, straight, etc. Some texture is done with metal stamping where you use a pre-made stamp tool. I suppose what I have found is the texture that is added is usually named after the process you used to get there.
