I work for a manufacturer of heating and air conditioning equipment, and we have to buy our copper tubing and rolls of sheet steel (about 70 tons/day for the steel alone) from China because there are no companies left over here who can meet our needs. The same goes for aluminum rolls. Also, a lot of the electrical components that come from Mexico actually started out in China and were finish assembled in Mexico. If the People's Republic ever decided they didn't like us more than they like our money, we'd be royally up the stump.
Go in any Walmart, Target, K-Mart, $1 store and look around.Or just about any other store except for Safeway.
