Question:

What does lime sulfur dip (sulfurated lime solution) consist of exactly?

Does it contain any Calcium Polysulfide? and if so how much? The only active ingredients I can find on it is 97.8% sulfurated lime solution, yet I still don't know what is in that. Answers extremely appreciated.

Answer:

slightly possible------ CAUTION: VERY,VERY DANGEROUS!!
Depends- If your lime is slacked lime-calcium Hydroxide (Ca(OH)2), adding acids HCl (hydrochloric acid) or water should get it back into a liquid form. You can also heat the Calcium Hydroxide to form water and calcium oxide. Add water once more to ONLY the calcium oxide and you get a liquid state. BE CAREFUL! Adding acids at this stage could cause VIOLENT reactions and do this in a lab with goggles and lab apron. Make sure to have a fire extinguisher just in case.
