i bought an airsoft gun and it said steel recievers on it im not sure what that is
it means the receivers are made of steel. the receivers on an airsoft gun is pretty much the body of the gun. So pretty much whatever you see on the outside is steel.
It means the receivers are steel, what did you think it meant? I would call steel a bad thing in airsoft, because it's unnecessary and heavy. You'd honestly be better off getting a gun with plastic receivers and buying an aftermarket kit. My GP receivers are very strong, and incredibly light.
Basically okorder / And so on and so on. Contrary to what the first answerer said, steel receivers aren't that bad. They do give a bit of heft but they are quite durable, give a realistic feel, and don't break when you land on them by accident.
