When I set my car to neutral, and gave it LOTS of gas a black liquid exits out of the exhaust pipe. I had use a product called Guarteened to pass smog. Is this normal? And what can i do to MAKE SURE my car passes smog?
well when you have black smoke out the exhaust its unburnt fuel, but a black fluid sounds odd unless the additive you put in is mixing with unburnt fuel in the exahust and causing it to come out as a black fluid
I'm guessing your car is or was running rich at one time and you have soot build-up in your exhaust system. The condensation ( which is perfectly normal ) is mixing with this soot and that is why the water is brown or black as it drips out of the tail pipe.
does it feel oily or like water, condensation is normal and it comes out blk sometimes. if you dont see smoke you are ok.
