It is always better to make the drawings as per some recognised standardTheengineering drawings normally use letters, symbols and short forms to make the drawing more readableTo avoid any confusions to an external party (a component supplier company - it could be even from another country, or even the customer) regarding the meaning of these symbols, notations short forms etcAlso, making a standardised format for drawings make it easy for anyone to understand the drawingThey can easily understand where to look for the Title block, Notes general tolerances etcthen adherence of a design to standards is fundamentally important to ensure the quality, safety and integrity of whatever system or product it is that will eventually be produced from your drawingStandardised drawing practices ensure universal readability of your drawing, and avoid ambiguity as to what it is you are actually specifyingIf it is the latter, then adherence of a design to standards is fundamentally important to ensure the quality, safety and integrity of whatever system
