You don't have much if any choice. So stock. VW have tested that to be the best design for that car REGARDLESS of what other salespeople try to sell you.

Hi the one which was fitted when the car was made as it gives the best performance, and fuel economy and does not exceed the noise laws which ever country you live in. the problem with fitting any other is the police can stop you and remove the car from you for making too much noise now. the muffler or exhaust silencer has to comply now not like it was a couple of years ago. they have tightened up on this now as it has to comply with emission tests as well as noise limits. well just one thing more less noise better consumption and a higher top speed are the benefits of the right exhaust SYSTEM. it is not used on a race track but the public road so it need to comply with the LAW.
