Question:

What housing should I go with at Temple University in Philly?

Right now I'm in The Edge, but it's pretty far from the center of the campus and while it looks really new and quite nice, it just doesn't feel right, but maybe thats because I know so little about itI also have the option to stay in Peabody or James WhitePeabody is really close to the main hub of campus, and James White is a couple blocks farther but has suite style dormsSo if someone could give me an honest opinion about these dorms and what I should do, I could be a ton less nervous about this housing process.

Answer:

Supposedly you can do it VERY, VERY carefullyThis is the kind of operation where you need a specialistI would ask a professional glass blower/instrument maker to help youThey have the experience and the necessary tools and materials I believe glass is usually ground ultrasonically with soft iron tools and suitable abrasivesThe tools abrade faster than the glass and are fed at a slight but constant pressure against the glass surfaceThe whole operation will probably take a couple of hours.
hey! so i go to temple right nowi live in the hardwick dorm and love ithere are mine, and others opinions on the dormsthe edge athletes, because it's close to the gym.and it's kinda cramped but i recently saw it and it's pretty cool looking, although the rooms are kinda small but you get to share a bathroom with your roomate, and not with 50 other girls (common bathroom)the edge is right near the subway and avenue north shops.it's kinda right at the end of campus but it's safe and still part of main campus.i'm living there next year, i wouldn't advise you to live there freshman year though johnson and hardwick true freshman dormshouse only freshmanreally nice roomsi mean they're tiny but not cramped or anythingjohnson has slightly more spacious rooms but hardwick is good toocommon bathroomsand the elevators usually breakand the fire alarm goes off atleast once or twice every monthif you want a true college experience and to make friends fastchoose either johnson or hardwickand the main dining hall is right under these dorms so you don't have to walk out of the building to get food early morning or late at nightplus, this dorm is only about a three minute walk from buildings where your classes will be heldvery good for freshman year1940- suite styles located on liacouras wwhich is right near jh and peabody 1300- kinda near the edge.also suite style peabody- DO NOT LIVE HEREunless you are an art student SERIOUSLYyea, it's located right next to Jh but it is the shittiest dorm everusually only art students live there james white- suite style.it's kinda on the little scarier part of campus at night.the suites are kinda old fashioned though so yeahope this helped!
