Would we affect the polar alignment of the earth? Would Anthing happen at all?
Depends if you're including the Earth's magnetic core or not really. If you moved that then yes; a lot would change.
Realize that most of that magnetic material is a few thousand km beneath your feet, in the Earth'ss core, and constitute a fairly high percentage of the planet's mass. If you rearrange all the magnetic field producing matter, you could indeed reverse or totally randomly align it. But that is sure an exercise in futility.
