Question:

What is a cool way to present a physical and chemical changes project?

I am doing a science project on Chemical and Physical changes. I need to know what they both are, how can you tell when you see one, and 5 examples of chemical and physical changes. I am going to do a poster on it and I need to have a cool way to present the poster to my class. By the way, I am in 9th grade honors science in high school. If you could help me on those things, that would be great. Thank You!!!

Answer:

Answering your questions one by one : a) What are physical and chemical changes? A physical change is a change of a substance, in which there are no new substances formed A chemical change is a reaction of a subtance, in which new substances are formed ----- b) How to tell between physical and chemical changes? No real test for that But it should be obvious that new substances with completely different chemical properties are formed during a reaction, that's how to tell if a chemical change takes place ----- c) 5 Examples of Chemical change 1. Iron reacts with water and oxygen in air -- To form rust (new substance) 2. Sodium reacts with water -- To form sodium hydroxide and hydrogen gas (new substances) 3. Ethanol (alcohol) completely burns in air -- To form carbon dioxide and water 4. Acids react with alkalis -- To form a salt and water 5. Silver oxide when heated -- Produces oxygen and forms silver d) 5 Examples of Physical change (Really simple) 1. Ice melts into liquid form of water 2. A piece of paper is torn 3. A piece of copper metal is hammered into a sheet of copper 4. Molten iron solidifies 5. A house collapses ----- P.S. A physical and chemical changes poster for a science project? That's rather simple and actually quite boring to study, as there is not much to learn ! xD
I've heard of people putting oil dry in their tires for the same purpose. I would be afraid to try it.

I'm on my 5th tire balanced with Dyna Beads. They work great.
There is a proper way to balance a tire. Putting beads inside isn't it!
