Thinking of buying a daiwa strikeforce and was wondering what is a good and reliable rod for the reel around $50 and maybe lower.

Suspension components, like your shocks, are bad. Get under there look for any sign of damage, leaking oil from the shocks, abnormal tire wear. Look for loose bolts, springs, anything else that would look out of place.
Even I think that is really gross and low class, and I live in a trailer.
