Question:

What is a polycarbonate case?

I am looking to get a case for my itouch and I saw this website that makes them in all different patterns and such and they say their skins are made of polycarbonate and I was wondering if that is the hard shelled type of case or the rubbery flexible ones. Also if you know any websites that make the rubbery smooth like cases for he new itouch that would be great! Thanks! :)

Answer:

The detectors dont detect types of metal but rather densness of metal. Heavier metals such as steel will set the detector off every time, but a (cheap) thin aluminum or tin type bracelete usually will not unless your the type that wears several of these together than the mass makes a difference. so its weight and volume more than metal type that sets these things off. Youll also find that smaller airports metal detectors are set slightly more sensitive than major airport metal detectors. Thats why you may be able to wear a belt thru one airport but at another that same belt sets the detector off. Hope this helps.
Are we supposed to know the answer to this? Because if we knew, wouldn't bad people make weapons that would get through metal detectors?
Steel (and the variations on steel alloys) Aluminum. The latest body scan, which is an optional metal detector, will reveal anything inside the body. Somewhat like an X-Ray.
My guess is they don't want to get hardwood floor for the basketball team all scratched up . Just a normal sock I'd say
I react very calmly. I take the biggest screwdriver I can find and chop at it until it's unjammed. Doesn't work to well on a DVD player though
