what is a quartz tube in chemistry and what is it used for?
i'd say call it a watch like everyone else or don't you mean 'setting your watch'? then walk away with a chuckle and prolly call em a nerd or something =P sorry, that was insensitive, i'd think they'd be either scientific like that or um... yeah scientific cause nobody who's 'new age' (cool?) would be caught sayin that methinks... idk
New age. Crystals can be cleaned and attuned to one specific person.
I have never heard of a scientist using that particular idiom, despite having inspected manufacturing plants where quartz crystals were cut, polished, and mounted into packages and oscillators. Nor would I understand without asking how a quartz crystal could be programmed, though I have seen them being tuned to the correct operating frequency.
