Question:

What is a Remote Operated valve ?

I have a training I will be attending on Valve actuator and subsequently an exam. I need fundamental knowledge of ROV. What are the types of ROV. The Maintenance Of ROV ? and the different Type of ROV actuators

Answer:

I would assume the nitrogen is stored under pressure and it used to pressurize the hydraulic system and the hydraulics in turn operate the valve by driving a piston as required by an electrical signal. This can be a fairly common system for such operations. The electrical signal can be triggered by either direct electrical contact or by an electronic signal depending on the design of the system.
Well, the biggest risk you may have upon getting a tattoo is an infection. And of course if the tattoo is done at a reputable licensed shop the chance of getting some sort of infection or virus from the tattoo equipment is minute. The biggest chance you would have of an affection is during your after care. You are at no greater risk than the next person of getting an infection. But, if you do get an infection could be worse consequences. I will never advise someone to against what there doctor tells them. But if one doctor says it is ok then the next says it is not then maybe tattoos and piercings are just something that doctor is not fond of to begin with and allowing his personal opinions influence his medical direction or counseling. In the end it is your body and it is your decision. Should you take extra precautions? Sure. See if you can get some antibiotics prescribed and begin taking them a couple days before getting your tattoo. Tell you are planning a visit to the Dentist and have prescribe some antibiotics for you if you decide to get a tattoo. If you do, be sure to follow the artists instructions on after care procedures and to be sure to ask any question of him you may have concerning after care.
Rov Valve
Hi. We know that a valve is a device which controls give direction to the flow of fluid in a passageway. They can be manually handled or remotely handled. To remotely control a valve you have to use an actuator mechanism. Bjy this mechanism, we can control the valve from outside the body. Some valves control themselves from inside the body. Ex. Check valves or Relief valves.
The term remote operated valve is slightly misleading, as it really means remotely controlled valve. Normally the valve actuator is mounted directly on the valve body so that it can open and close the valve. The majority of valves are either rotary ball or sliding gate type. Valve actuators can be operated by electrical methods, pneumatic or hydraulic, or by a combination. The most common types of actuator for industrial use are motorised electrical and pneumatic. Motorised valves will have a reversible motor for opening and closing, whilst pneumatic types will have a double acting cylinder with a 5 port 2 position or 3 position control valve. The control contactors and valves would be located in a control room, possibly controlled by a PLC or similar automation controller. In most cases position feedback will be supplied from the valve by means of limit switches to indicate its position, and in the case of motorised actuators, the running current can be monitored as an indicator of valve condition. If a pneumatic valve is jammed, the actuator will simply stall without damage, but for electrical actuators some form of overload protection is required to prevent excessive current load and overheating. The majority of industrial valves require little maintenance, but regular inspection for security, electrical connections, gland sealing etc should be scheduled at intervals suitable for the working environment.
