Question:

What is an ac induction motor

What is an ac induction motor

Answer:

In the rotor, there is no direct input alternating current, and a conductor with closed circuit on the rotor. Do the relative motion of a rotating magnetic field and rotor, the rotor on the closing of the conductor cutting current lines of magnetic force, magnetic field and the current and the stator's rotating magnetic field interaction, so as to drive the rotor rotation. From the above narrative, the current in the rotor is induced by a stator rotating field, so it is called an induction motor
Because the ac current is entered in the stator coil of the induction motor, such as three-phase alternating current. The stator coil will generate a magnetic field, and the field will rotate as the alternating current changes, which we call a rotating field.
Induction motor and ac commutator motor are the ac asynchronous motor. Induction motor is divided into single phase asynchronous motor, dc motor, etc. We generally refer to induction motor as ac asynchronous motor.
