I just got some sculpey today to make some costume horns with, ( for a homestuck troll cosplay) or just horns for a demon cosplayProblem Is I heard kneading sculpey is a pain in the and yeah.is there any ways iI could soften it? I had this other clay (plasticine like stuff that stays soft which failed for me) i stuck the old clay beside my laptop and it sofend down perfectly, But since sculpy needs to be backed, im not sure its a good idea for my laptop?any suggestions?
blankets, air conditioner
In front of a heater I dont like to be all hot and stuff
Warming up Even if I'd be cooling down, I hate the feeling of being too hot
Put it under an ordinary lightbulb for a short while which will soften itSculpey wont bake until you put it into an oven and heat itWhen you bake your horns, it helps to wrap aluminum foil around the tips, which prevents them from burningBTW, if your sculpey ever feels crumbly or dry, you can add a bit of baby oil to it to recondition the clay.
