What is container throughput?
Container throughput is the sum of imports and exports of a port for a period of time, usually in units of TEU.
Popularly speaking, is a port in a certain time import and export container quantity sum total.
Note that the port throughput is usually measured in tons, which is different from the port throughput. Port throughput refers to the total volume, including bulk, liquid cargo, container throughput, etc..
