Answer:

go to a plumbers merchant and you should get what you need from there
It probably doesn't matter much since all metals are electrical conductors, but I suppose the best conductor would be the worst metal to be holding and the best electrical conductor is silver. After that comes copper. I once had a student tell me about a girl who was wearing a one piece bathing suit with a zipper up the back and she was struck by lightning because of the zipper. Her question was how did the lightning know how to strike her there. Imagine a dam with a great wall of water behind it. there will be a great deal of pressure on the dam from the water going to try to break through the dam and run down hill. If the dan were to break, where would that happen? Answer: at the weakest point. It's the same with lightning. There's an electric force trying to send the lightning through the air, but air is a good insulator. If there's an easier path for the lightning to take, (to break through the air), it will take it, but the difference between different metals wouldn't matter much. Any metal would be an easier path for the lightning to take than going through the airJust don't try to prove it, Carlee !! By the way, did you ever wonder about how stupid Ben Franklin was to fly a kite with an electrical conductor for the kite string in a thunder storm? Of course, he wasn't really stupid; he was ignorant. He had no idea how powerful lightning was, although he should have from seeing the damage it did. Several other guys tried the same experiment and ended up dead.
