How can i drive a hydromatic transmission car ?and what is the different between it and manual and automatic cars ?
It's a parts bike and not worth the trouble.I'm a long time mechanic and wouldn't try to put it back together especially without a title.I've had better bikes given to me
Some bargains are hard to pass but with this one I'd twist my throttle and slow down when the urge to shop is surpassed by the urge to stop! I've done a bit of wrenching (lol) and I'm still just an amateur but I walk away. Still. it's your time and energy and if you have the spare time you can do it. Stay positive, buy a Shop Manual (read thru it first before you touch any tool) and sooner OR later that bike will be your tour de force.
I don't think a grand would get this bike running, much less in top-notch shape. This bike has three possible uses: Parts for someone fixing up an identical one; ballast; or landfill fodder. Unless fixing bikes is your hobby, the general rule of thumb is that the cheapest way to end up with a decent old bike is to buy one in the best possible condition to start with. For every $1,000 you sink into an old wreck, you will be lucky to recover half of it when you sell.
An old transmission system developed by GM back around the start of WWII There was actually a line in the movie Grease where John Travolta and his gang are bragging about a hot rod they had just acquired and mentioned that it had a hydramatic transmission. Back in the 1960's in when it was pretty much discontinued. So you'd have to find an old classic car that would have had it if you want to drive it.
