what is impact resistance for ceramics?
No. Copper is: 1. inappropriate for gas under most conditions, and 2. to weak a material for exposed pipes. The proper pipe is black iron, NOT galvanized.
This question needs to be answered by the company you're buying the gas from. Some localities may permit it while others will not. This is referred to as the authority having jurisdiction. Copper is often used for propane but more rarely for NG.
Ceramics often are classified as a non neutonian dilatant meaning viscosity/shear rate is logrithmic
We ran a copper line to a bbq grill outside about 20 years ago and it still works fine,so i would say no problem, however there may be codes in your area that wouldn't allow it.
