it says its got mohair in it, is that the itchy material? i had a wool jumper once but had to get rid of it because it just made me itch
2 of my 3 dogs like to be on top of the blanketThey are a Lab mix and a Border CollieOften they get off in the night, sleep on the floor because it's cooler and if they get cold they get back up on the bedThe 3rd is a Border Collie pupHe sleeps in his crateWhen he gets too warm, he shoves his bed aside and sleeps on the crate panWhen he gets cool, he rearranges his bed and gets back on it.
My dog sleeps with me sometimes and he sleeps on top of the covers: 1) Because I don't want him leaving his hair and dirt on my bed and 2) he gets really hot really easily so the covers are overkill for him ;)
When I do let my dogs in the bed! They sleep under the covers, they get a bit hot though and wriggle their head out out for some cool air!
Most likely they like to sleep on top instead of under a blanketIt's easier for them to get out of bed if need be and they wont get too hot if you have a dog with a much thicker coat
