Answer:

Brooklyn is a great place to live! I moved to Brooklyn in 1981 (I came to NYC in 1977.) While I'm not young anymore (I'm 50 now) I can tell you that Brooklyn has a much younger vibe than most of Manhattan does these daysWhat makes Brooklyn hip? Well, young people and various arts types can no longer afford Manhattan, so they moved out to various neighborhoods in BrooklynThis has created something of a younger scene in BrooklynThis has been particularly true in places like Williamsburgh and DUMBO But as this has happened, Brooklyn is also developing a great restaurant culture - a bit cheaper and far more innovative than a lot of restaurants in Manhattan.
Parchment paper is also know as wax paperYou can pick it up in the grocery store beside the tinfoil (aluminum foil).
I think you mean BOROUGHSafest: Manhattan Cheapest: Queens Colleges: Manhattan And Soho is IN Manhattan, so I guess it's Manhattan again.
You need to visit NYCNYC is 5 counties called boroughsAny one of which would be a major city by itself in most statesSOHO is a neighborhood in lower (southern) Manhattan and cheap doesn't typically apply to the cost of housing there.Nothing in Manhattan is particularly cheap. In fact the closer you get to midtown (from any direction)the more expensive it getsThere is easy access to City University schools in all boroughsTransportation in NYC is reliable, plentiful and except Staten Island very interconnected.
