Your data will be very noisy How well it is wrapped, how drafty the room is, thermal mass of the insulator and temperature of the insulator when it is appliedIf you want a R factor you may be better off with a low fixed wattage heat source on one side of your test product and a known temp on the outside of the insulation and find where equilibrium lands, the total surface area has to be loosing the full wattage entering the system one the temp equalizesMake sure you use a low wattage and a fully covered mass with known surface area.
