Aluminum foil is a conductor It will conduct cold as well as heat it will conduct the cold threw the board cracks on the out sideI would use polyethylene on the inside of the boards and tape the seams It comes 8 foot wide That will cut all the drafts You won't trap moister only on the inside face of the out sideWhen you insulate with the rolls of corning fiberglass it has a paper that you put on the living side If you want to go one step further you can get 4 foot wide rolls of paper I have seen people use corrugated cardboard stapled on the studs that worked very wellReynoles on the inside would work but my choice .
Not a good ideaYou will trap moisture and grow moldLots of itFor your application (barn) best bet is to use kraft faced insulationThen put up your OSB.
not knowing the conditions in your area I can only advise that you contact a Lowe's or home depot for advicePutting up tinfoil on the wrong side actually reduces the insulating value and can cause other problems.
Foil works for reflecting heat, not coldAs long as you are planning this primarily for decreasing the temperature then go ahead Also foil stops being an insulator as soon as it is touchedThe reason for this is that it will only reflect radiationWarmth moving form solid to solid it will actually help heat moveMake sure that there is some sort of cavity, it doesn't have to be much, for using foil No regular aluminum foil will degradeUnless you are planning to tear down the building in a few years, you need a thicker material.
