Muffler vs exhaust system is dependent on if performance matters to you. If it does, go full exhaust. If it doesn't, get a muffler that you like the looks of and move on. With that being said, the best muffler is a free-flowing, straight through core, 2.5 core, inlet and outlet. I personally don't like the way imports hang the big canister muffler off the rear bumper, so I think the best will tuck away nicely under the car, with a mild 3 or so tip off the 2.5 piping. If you like the traditional import styling, more power to you, because that allows you to choose from a much wider variety of exhaust systems.
N1 Catback Exhaust Muffler. I would do the entire exhaust system for performance. If your the show, but no go type get the just the muffler for a cool sound.
