(Scrap Monster): The price of iron ore fines in China import market has fallen sharply this week on weak demand and discounted prices offered by Australian, Brazilian buyers. The slide in iron ore prices continues as buyers are looking for some clarity in the market. Indian ores of 63.5% were offered at $165 per dry tonne and below according to a report by The Steel Index (TSI). 62% Fe fines at Tianjin Port were quoted 7.4% lower on week at $157.5 per dry tonne while 58% Fe was quoate 4.9% down at $144.3 per dry tonne. Iron ore fines 62% Fe 2% Al at China's Qingdao port fell 6.1% on week to $159.8 per dry tonne while 63.5/63% Fe was quoted at $163.3, down 4.8%. Steel bar prices also fell further at the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
