I have been trying to make my aluminum rims shine like a mirrorBut my sandpaper (2000 grit) has done a great job at that but if I look closely enough, I can still see micro scratchesKinda like the swirls one would see on a paintjob of their car after a few washesWhat is the best item to use to get that perfect mirror3m polishing paper? 5000 grit sandpaper?Micron polishing paper?? Please help.
The finer the grit sand paper the smoother the metal will be which will give the best shine I always used mothers aluminum polish
I had the same thing happen when I touched a fork to an amalgam filling in my teethI asked my dentist about it and after he got over his intense heebee-jeebees (Why on earth would you do that?) he said the sensation and the heat I felt in my tooth was a result of an ion exchangeThis was many many years ago and I don't remember all that he said, but I do remember that part.
