I have a 2001 Land Rover Discovery Series 2. it is at about 110,000 miles. the transmission is starting to slip a little bit and it has a trouble code 20 and 12. I was told this has to do with fourth gear. I don‘t have a lot of money at present to fully address this problem I really need to know HOW to put an additive into the transmission fluid because there is no dipstick for transmission fluid under the hood. PLEASE HELP!
there is no way of adding additive to these sealed for life transmissions, they have to be on a lift perfectly horizontal at a prescribed temperature to even measure the level and need a pressure filler to add fluid
Lucas trans additive is good and look in the owners manual and it should tell ya how to check and service the trans .
