Question:

What is the best way to cover romex when it is on top of sheetrock insted of buried behind it?

I have romex cable running up the corner of my bedroom into the attic in order to supply power to the attic.I was not able to put the romex behind the walls becasuse there is brick insulation directly behind the sheetrock.Other thancutting the sheetrock, burying it, and spackeling - is there a way to sasfely cover the romex on top of the wall?

Answer:

This might sound wacky, but are you sure you took her to the vet? If you did, what did he say when you told him the dog couldn't have injured himself? And what did he say about the insulation? Sorry, but it's odd to me someone would leave a vet's office and then come running to YA to ask questions that would have been asked at the vet.
Fiberglass insulation? You know, has glass in itIt is probably cutting up her insidesShe should have been taken to a vet right awayDid you tell the vet she ate insulation? Get her to a vet ASAP and tell them what she ate!
Some insulation has fiberglass in it which may cut up the intestines, etcdefinitely get her to the vetIt may not be a sore leg, she may have some internal stuff going on.
You contradict yourselfShe couldn't have injured her leg because she's supervised, but, she couldn't have been supervised if she ate insulationWeak and lethargic could be from the insulationA sore leg is likely from an injuryWatch to make sure her bowel movements are normal and regularShe should be able to pass the insulationConfine her so her leg can heal.
They make a product called wiremoldIt has a metal base and is screwed to the wall, then there is a cover that will fit over it and hide the romexThat would be the best way without digging into the sheetrockThen you could also run the romex in conduitThat doesn't look that goodThat's how I would do it.
