The very best way would be in a vacuum sealed bagThey sell a product that will suck out all the air and seal the bagAir and heat is a foods worst enemyZips lock bags are excellent if You squeeze out as much air as possibleYour idea to wrap first in plastic is a very good oneFor some foods like ground beef for example, I wrap first in plastic and then in aluminium foil, which gives a nice tight sealI would not recommend tupperware for freezing.
