Question:

What is the best way to get candle wax out of carpet?

Candle wax has dripped onto our carpet and we need a way of removing it without destroying the carpet.

Answer:

place a brown paper bag over the wax and iron it. The hot iron will melt the wax and the paper bag will absorb. Works great.
To get candle wax off of a carpet use an ice cube to freeze it and it should come out very easily Sincerely Bobbie
Using an iron and brown paper works excellent as a first step and after that if some wax still remains use a product called Goo B Gone sold in the market and hardware stores. Works excellent for lipstick, adhesives and other stains for clothing, carpets and on objects. Although if your carpet is wool it is tricky to get all of the wax stain out.
Wax Removal from Carpet The last thing any of us need is wax dripped on the carpet. Once it hardens, it seems impossible to remove. All is not lost though. For cleaning carpet stains made by wax, first chip off as much of the surface wax as possible, using a dull knife or paint scraper. Once that is done, place a cloth or several layers of paper towels over the wax and apply a warm iron. Iron the towel for a few minutes and then lift. The wax should now be on the cloth instead of the carpet. Remove carpet stains left behind by blotting with a vinegar, or if it doesn't come up easily, nail polish remover. Good Luck!!.....:)
