Question:

What is the best way to move an aquarium from one house to another?

It's a 75 gallonI've got about 15 fish in there, all fairly smallNothing out of the ordinaryI'm currently on the third floor of my apartment, which doesn't have an elevatorMy new house is only 5 minutes away, and it will be going on the bottom floorAny suggestions would be much appreciated!

Answer:

I would use gallon bags for the fish and bag up some extra water in big bags tooThis will help when you set up the tank in the new place the more water you can keep the easier the transition.Slowly fill the tank and add some water treatment to help and be sure the temperature is very close to what it was, float fish for about half an hour then start adding the new water to their bagsIn about 2 hours you should be able to let them go in the new tank.
