Question:

What is the best weave structure/pattern/treadling to use for making fabric for a garment?

I have this wonderful bamboo yarn that is smoother and silkier than silkIt's also incredibly luminousI decided to weave it into fabric for a loose fitting tunic as a jump on Christmas presentsBut, I'm a beginning weaver and I'm wondering what pattern/treadling/threading I should use to 1) maximize luminosity and silky texture and 2) create a solid weave structure suitable for a top.

Answer:

The 2007 Escalade has a Maximum towing capacity of 7800 lbsSo you would be coming closeYou should try to stay shy of the max tow for obvious safety reasons.
Consider a twill or herringbone (herringbones rack out of shape less than twills will)The over x number of yarns will help keep the shine you like exposed, but it's much less fragile than a satin weave).
