Question:

can i freeze brownies in sandwich bags or do i need freezer bags.?

what is the consequence of using regular sandwich bags?

Answer:

Freezer plastic bags are usually just thicker than regular plastic bags, and sandwich bags can be even thinner If you'll be keeping something in the freezer, you'll likely be keeping it there for awhile so you want a thicker bag just so it will take longer for the food to dry out and get freezer burn (or you can wrap the food with plastic wrap, aluminum foil, or even parchment paper before putting it in the bag which will do basically the same thing) It's not essential thoughIf you'll be keeping something in the frig, the thinness of the bags won't matter much because you usually won't need to keep it there very longand if you're just putting a sandwich in a bag for the day, the thinness will matter even lessRegardless of where the filled bag will be kept though, thicker bags are a little safer for liquids than thinner bags would be.
