Question:

What is the difference between draw irons and regular irons?

I am looking to buy TaylorMade's r7 irons, but I do not know what the difference between draw irons and regular irons are. Can someone explain?

Answer:

Yup. Any bolt on mods will give you some increase of HP, torque, etc
because it is a supercharged engine, it does not need one. you are already forcing more air into the cylinders and that more dense air might not even be noticed.
A draw bias iron will have more weight placed toward the heel of the club, which helps promote a right to left ball flight for right handed golfers.
The weight distribution on the club determines if it is draw bias. The better golfer playing either the blade or the cavity back peripheral weighted club will draw or hook, slice or fade the ball at will. When the shot calls for a fade will the draw biased club do the job ?
An iron that is built with a draw bias has different weighting and a slightly closed face when compared to a standard iron. They are meant for people who naturally hit a left-to-right shot and seek to straighten out their ball flight. I would not suggest them for someone who has only a slight fade or a straight shot as his or her tendency because the clubs could cause some difficulty when it comes to needing a shot other than what the club is built for. If you are having difficulty choosing the set that is right for you, go to a fitter or a pro and have them evaluate your swing and ball flight so they can tell you which set is right.
