I need to know is satin and linen are the same or they‘re different? Because my wedding decorater dont have ivory linen table cover she jus have white linen can i used the white or try and find the ivory but all im getting is ivory satin!!!Please help
Best way to find out is go to a local yardage store and see the different materials, and feel the difference. Satin is slippery, linen has a rougher feel to it. Ivory can be not as 'white' as white, if that makes sense.

Satin is shiny and slippery. I have never seen a satin table cloth. Ever. Can't even imagine such a thing exists. It would be a complete mess. I have seen chair bows made of satin however. When they call a table cloth linen, I am sure they don't mean true, wrinkly, 100% cotton linen. Again that would make a horrible tablecloth. They just mean the standard polyester woven tableclothes that some people call linen. I haven't seen too many ivory woven linen table cloths either. I could understand why she wouldn't stock them. I would just use the white - no one will notice or think twice, as a white table cloth is classic.
