What is the effect of Bentonite on pellets compressive strength

Answer:

As the production of oxidized pellets containing MgO additives by calcination of magnesite, investigated the effect of MgO content on the compressive strength of oxidized pellet.
Through the analysis of the porosity and pore size distribution of different content of MgO pellets showed that with increasing MgO content in pellets, pore size and porosity of pellets increased gradually, leading to the compressive strength of pellets decreased continuously
The results showed that with the increased MgO content in pellets, the compressive strength of pellets decreased gradually. The main reason is: the increase of MgO content in the pellet pellets oxidation of Fe3O4 to recrystallization of Fe2O3 weakened, even the crystal is not complete, and the uneven distribution, is not conducive to the consolidation of pellet;
