What is the K-factor (K value) in the flowmeter? How do I calculate it?

Answer:

K-factor (K) is a factor that is calibrated and compared with other measuring devices that meet the requirements before being put into use. This coefficient is a fixed value, which is the actual coefficient obtained by the flowmeter manufacturer after calibration of each instrument. It is independent of the original design.
The K value is related to the design parameters of the flow meter. According to the design work temperature, design work pressure and design flow calculation.
K new =K original (1+- error) K was originally factory calibration, if the super poor, only the K coefficient
