Although nothing appears to be visibly caught in the roller, it may still need to be cleaned. Try this: Find the rubber wheel that draws paper in, and clean it with isopropyl alcohol. If you don't print a lot, before printing, remove paper from tray and blow dust off of top sheet.
were are the hinges? look to see if you can get them off first then if not take your screw drivers and bash the crap out of the inside of the lock
