No. Ferrets do not like wheels. They can get their nails and toes caught in them, and they really, really are not meant to run on wheels. Ferrets need 2 hours at least of play time every day, where they can run around the room. If you can at least let them run around in your bedroom, they will get enough space to play.
All of the previous concerns would be remedied by using a cat exercise wheel. It's so large there would be no spine bend. They are made big enough so even the large cat spine doesn't get bent. And obviously if a cat's claws don't get stuck in it neither would a ferrets.
