Question:

What is the opposite of light?

Darkness isn't the opposite of light, its the absence of light...what is the opposite of light?

Answer:

There is no opposite of light. That would be like asking what's the opposite of water.
in that case sober isn't the opposite of drunk. Sober is the absence of being drunk. You're a dingbat
But if there's an absence of something then it might as well be the opposite. If you are absent of hair, then that means your bald. The opposite of having hair is being bald, am I right?
It would still be darkness. Without light there is darkness, or if you want to be technical then look into the atronomy part of things and find out if the particles or anything at all changes when light travels into a spot, then if its gone when light is there then its the opposite. I have no idea. Lo siento pero no se.
if you mean by light color -- then dark if you mean light as in visible electromagnetic radiation -- then there is no opposite (that's just like asking what is the opposite of a sound wave)
