What is the principle of thermal insulated aluminum tape?

Answer:

The principle of thermal insulated aluminum tape is to process various metals like aluminum, gold, copper and silver into multi-layer densely and highly thermal-insulated metal film by utilizing vacuum metallization and magnetron sputtering. When the outer-shell electron (free electron) in the metal material which is generally not bound by atomic nucleus is exposed to light waves, the electric field allows it to absorb the light energy and thus produces vibration at the same frequency as light. Then the vibration produces the light at the same frequency as the original light, which is known as the reflection of light. The higher perveance of metal, the lower degree of penetration and the higher reflection. The metal layers will reflect back the heat source in the sun including infrared ray, ultraviolet ray and visible light selectionally and then re-release after the colors of metal film absorb the solar radiation and finally part of heat can be removed as the outdoor air flows, thus effectively insulating the heat.
Aluminum tape uses quality pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) and has various characteristics such as good stickiness, aging resistance and greatly enhanced heat preservation. Various width and length are available for 0.05mm-0.08mm specifications. Aluminum tape is suitable for the juncture pasting of all aluminum composite material, sealing the puncture of bar for line and damage repairing. It is the main and accessory material of refrigerator or freezer and also the necessary material for the sales department of thermal insulated material. aluminum tape is widely used in refrigerator, air conditioning, automobile, petrochemical, bridge, hotels and so on.
Since aluminum is a good conductor of heat, wrapping the tape with aluminum foil does quicken the heat loss instead of heat preservation. Therefore, it's better to wrap with heat-insulated cotton before wrapping with aluminum foil. Actually the thermal insulation cotton preserves heat rather than the aluminum foil which serves as a conductor to outside temperature to protect the inside temperature.
