Ceramic tiles can do 3 things easily: they can confine the space required in an experiment and it can be moved around a table easily, it will dissipate heat relatively easily, and its glazed surface means that cross contamination of chemicals (from an earlier experiment) are less likely to happen.
on an aircooled engine you'll heat it up pretty quickly and without air moving around the eninge it could lead to overheating. Pretty much the same with a liquid cooled engine. Aside from that, just the tire and engine wear.
Hold the front brake and dump the clutch. Be sure and hold on tight.
