the lift capacity of the Crane is pretty much dictated by the type of crane it is. The largest Gantry / Bridge type is capeable of 1,500 tons.. the largest tower is 100 tons w. a 100meter turning radius. Tracked lattice boom type is 1,600 tons...........(self contained) there's one that will do 4000 tons with modifications including seperate tracks for counterweights
It is MTC 78000 in offshore industry.It can able to lift nearly 2000 tonnes and is one of the world's biggest slewing cranes.
