We are getting a house and will be stripping the old carpet and purchasing newWe will be carpeting about 2000 square feetWe have 2 teenagers and one small dogWe are overwhelmed with choices and are not sure about which carpet fiber to buy.Polyester? Nylon? What is best and will hold it's value longer? Thanks!
My horse is blanketed early so she doesn't grow as long of coat then I clip herI have various weights of blanket however not sure how much filling yours have but she has a blanket on from +5 downThe important thing when they are blanketed is that they don't over heatI'm not sure how much of a coat your horse has on too but the only problem with blanketing is it flattens the hair and the horse is less insulatedIf I were you since your horse normally isn't blanketed I wouldn't and unless he is shaking or is showing signs of being cold leave the blanket off!!!! Hope this helps!!!
Well you ll have to check warranties between carpets, ( anti crush and wear) but the best between those two, I d do nylonPolyester is a softer yarn and is a bit more prone to matt and crush but it holds stain blockers betterNylons are tougher and hold up to foot traffic better and have good stain blockersThese come in plushes, textures and friezesBebers are made (mostly) of Olefin which is a very soft yarn system but and excellent stain block Much so they have to add nylon to it to get some color in the fibersThis are usually ( berbers) an 80/20% mix of fibers Any questions you can e mail me through my avatarGL
I'm in Central Florida, my horse is clipped and I show all winterHere are my blanketing guidelines for my horse being turned out: 59-50 Degrees Light blanket or sheet 49-40 Degrees Full weight blanket or turnout with head/neck slinky 39 and belowDouble blanket with head/neck slinky
This Site Might Help YouRE: What temperature do you blanket your horse, clipped or not clipped? I am curious as to what temperature others blanket their horseSince I live in the south my horse doesn't have a very fuzzy coat and with this sudden blast of canadian cold air I have had to blanket him when it gets below 35The wind chill makes it feel like it's in the 20's.
