Question:

What material can be moulded like glass, has a high melting point and wont interfere with magnetic fields?

I want to encase a hot coil magnet and not have the casing melt and not have it effect the strength of the magnet. Thanks

Answer:

A castable refractory might work. You can contact the the A P GREEN company for information.
Fiberglass is a common insulator. It is cheap, easy to make and shape and hard as a rock when complete.
Depending on your maximum temperature a thermoset plastic or silicone rubber potting compound may be suitable.
Leave it there! They love them just as much as mice or hamsters. I bet they are nice!! Hope I helped you decide!
definitely, they love it , but you may need a bigger one if it came with a cage or it may be fine
