If you are worried about being detected, most likely in today's world, there is a camera monitoring that alarm point. The alarm itself does not leave a mark, unless it has been the source of nuisance alarms. A invisible dye that can be seen only under UV light can be applied in a fine powder form that is used by police and security in such instances.
i used to be pretty scared of it, but now i'm using up to 5M NaOH, so I guess it's nothinghaha I don't think it's dangerous. It just gets your skin itching when it comes into contact. PS salt water is NaCl, not NaOH!
