Answer:

If he is AWOL when working he is probably married or living with someone. I am willing to bet you only have a cell number for him. Even if he is at work he could still call you. Does he spend the night with you, weekends? Is it just a couple of stolen hours here and there? Use your brain, you can figure it out.
Sounds like your getting played. Everyone has a way to be contacted, even at work. Have you met his parents or siblings, friends don't count because they can lie for him. How can you not know when you will hear from him again-if he's not fighting in iraq this makes no sense to me. You say you're not sure how to act, try this, do not act dumb and niave. Put up your defenses and find out the truth about this. Go with your gut feelings on this. Have you ever been to his place? What kind of job is this-is he a doctor? Don't sleep with him again until you find out more about this guy. It usually takes a year or so before you start to see a person for who and what they really are so be careful. If he cares for you he will understand and answer your questions, truthful people have nothing to hide. If he start tripping and getting upset with all your questions, and tries to argue with you or if he just dismisses your concerns about him then just make it the last time you deal with him because somethings not right. I'll bet almost anything that the job that keeps him on call at a moments notice is is wife or girlfriend. Just my thoughts.
have tried b4 placing in LAN with testing that a record is saved. If so check access permission for the data entry person doing over network
Have you met his friends? Family? If the answer is no, you are not important to him. Sorry.
