What PPE do I need for the following - bench fitting, sheet metalwork, welding, turning and milling! ?
Most today are photo/electric. The have a little light that shines across an air space onto a photocell. When smoke dims the light the alarm goes off. (Also happens with dust that gets in.)
It is lazyness. Just cut off the glued pvc, or cut the connectors or couplings with a hack saw blade and snap them off. It was required to pretreat the pvc with pvc cleaner (purple colored so it is easily seen, looks like purple easter egg dye), then the pvc cement is clear and dries clear. The pvc can break apart under stress or if pulled with out cementing.
I always say that lightning rods on church steeples show a lack of faith.
