Hi All, i have a star sound 1200w 4way amp which i want to use just for my sub for the meanwhile as im waiting on a monoblock, please tell me if i can install the amp without the fuse that connects straight on the power cable?? and what is the main reasons for that fuse? thanks in advance
Could you install it without a fuse. Yes. Should you install it without a fuse. No. If your power wire ever got shorted out it would melt and catch of fire. Their have been cars that burned to the ground because they did not have fuses.
You could connect it without the fuse but if something shorts out your going to fry the wiring. That's fuse is there for a reason, I wouldn't recommend not using it.
